We asked the EFRT for some insight into where they work out: indoors, outdoors, on roads, in lakes, oceans, pools, treadmills, spin bikes, and trainers. It's whatever it takes to get the job done! [caption id="attachment_1846" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Liz"][/caption]

Whenever, I am not on my trainer (that happens alot), I am actually the lucky duckling of my group and most rides and runs occur out of my house. I live very close to the access road making it easy to get out and bike! I am also lucky to be able to swim at the amazing Texas A&M Aquatic center, which is one of the best in the country. When it’s a nice day though, most of us pile into a car and head out to Lake Bryan for open water swimming and trail running. We even bring out our "Mascot" for a swim! (Nick Logan, 30, Norwalk, CT) [caption id="attachment_1843" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Nick"][/caption] I train at Crossfit 304, Gold's Gym Charles Town, Swim at Shepherd University. run bike and hike on the Blue Ridge Mountains and the historic trail of Harpers Ferry along the Shenandoah River. (Laura Bergmann, 29, Ranson, WV) [caption id="attachment_1842" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Laura"][/caption] I prefer to workout in the fresh, temperate San Diego air, at the more beautiful spots in the local sports spots, including Torrey Pines State Beach, (photo with the hill in the background) for run and bike repeats, or time trial efforts on the bike at Fiesta Island in San Diego (photo attached biking in the fog), beach runs at Torrey Pines, Del Mar, and La Jolla, swims at La Jolla Cove with the San Diego Tri Club, or for indoor workouts including spin, weights, and pool swims at the Pacific Athletic Club, a 400m jog from my house in Carmel Valley. (Scott Endsley, 57, San Diego, CA) [caption id="attachment_1839" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Scott"][/caption] I train at a gym (The Pacific Athletic Club San Diego) just one spin class per week and 4 masters classes at 5:45 am. (Diane Camet, 41, San Diego, CA) [caption id="attachment_1841" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Scott and Diane"][/caption]

I train in the college town of Blacksburg, Virginia. I swim at our local Blacksburg Aquatic Center, and there are many days when I swim at 6 am and return to watch my son trains there at 3:30 pm. We have pools at Virginia Tech and a new fabulous 50m pool in the next town but with my schedule I stick with what is convenient. I run outside regardless of the weather and have not been on a treadmill in years. I bike on the backroads of our Appalachian mountains. I lift/strength train at the Weight Club, that is definitely our local sporty hub of activity!
